The Baltimore Composers Forum has announced its 20th Anniversary Alumni Concert on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at An die Musik, 409 North Charles Street, Baltimore, Md. There will be a pre-concert talk beginning at 7:00 p.m. led by long time WBJC host Reed Hessler. Tickets are $15; $10 students.

This recital will present music by two of our late members; Dawn Culbertson, a founder of our group, and Steve Mafkofski, a past president; as well as premiers from our current members. There will be a variety of groups and musicians playing, including: pianist Ruth Rose; Mezzo-Soprano Megan Ihnen accompanied by pianist Hillary Kruh; Sonora Ensemble (clarinet quartet and percussion); Pictures on Silence (harp and saxophone); and Cellist Adam Gonzalez and pianist Diana Greene.

For 20 years, the Baltimore Composers Forum has been an important part of the cultural scene
in the Baltimore area. Over a thousand new works by area composers have been presented.
The music at our concerts represent a wide variety of styles, from experiments in sounds to
multi-media works to neo-romantic compositions, and to jazz-influenced compositions.

Please help us celebrate this important event. Even if you can't join us, consider a
donation to the Baltimore Composers Forum. Your tax-deductible donation will help us continue
to present recitals. Donations may be mailed to Baltimore Composers Forum, P.O. Box 975; Westminster, MD 21158.
