A PHILHARMONIC FESTIVAL

June 11-28
It's always a must-see when Yefim Bronfman plays Beethoven. As our Artist-in-Residence this season, Bronfman will perform all five Beethoven Piano Concertos - plus the Triple Concerto with violinist Glenn Dicterow and cellist Carter Brey - in a remarkable three-week festival.

Yefim Bronfman: ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE

September 26-October 1, January 2-7, March 30
The acclaimed pianist joins us for 23 performances in New York and Asia, including subscription performances of Tchaikovsky's First Piano Concerto, and Magnus Lindberg's Piano Concerto No. 2. Plus, a recital of chamber music masterworks.
Yefim Bronfman is the Mary and James G. Wallach Artist-in-Residence.

Christopher Rouse: COMPOSER-IN-RESIDENCE

November 14-19, January 2-7, June 5-7
One of America's "loftiest, most passionate and most sincere composers" (critic Justin Davidson) contributes numerous premieres to our season: the world premiere of his Symphony, the New York premiere of his Oboe Concerto, and the New York premiere of his Requiem.
Christopher Rouse is The Marie-Josée Kravis Composer-in-Residence.

NY PHIL BIENNIAL

May 29-June 7
Introducing the NY Phil Biennial: a 10-day festival showcasing the best of what's happening in music today. Inspired by biennials in the world of modern art, the NY Phil Biennial will be a veritable playground of new and recent music from all over the world - a place to revel, delight and immerse yourself in the here and now.

GLENN DICTEROW'S FAREWELL RECITAL

Nov 14-19, Dec 12-14, Jan 19, June 24-28
Acclaimed for his "flashing virtuosity ... admirable elegance and utter fearlessness," (The New York Times) the Philharmonic's Concertmaster crowns his 34-year career with a recital performance of personal favorites . Also featured this season in Strauss's Also sprach Zarathustra, Ein Heldenleben, and Beethoven's Triple Concerto.
