The Kitchen Riots, a three-night festival of new works in dance, music, and theatre, will play the Abingdon Theatre on October 4, 5, and 6, 2012.

The festival, which is being produced by Purple Threads Ensemble (Dear Mr. Rosan, Cherry Lane Theatre), invites the audience to “Journey with us through powerful stories of hope and transformation as, together, we explore our shared humanity. What will you discover?”

The Kitchen Riots began over a lively conversation around the kitchen table. Accordingly, a moderated panel with the artists, directors, and producers of the festival will follow each performance where audiences have the opportunity to join in on the conversation with a question and answer session. The audience is then invited to partake in a fun assortment of treats and beverages.

Details for the performances are below:

The Kitchen Riots will play Oct. 4-6 at Abingdon Theatre, located at 312 W. 36th St, New York, NY. Tickets: $18 for one night/$34 two-night pass/ $52 three-night pass (student discount available). Tickets available for purchase via www.purplethreads.org.
