World-renowned Tenor Anthony Kearns was the guest of Army GenerAl Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, at a Pre-Inaugural Brunch in honor of The Congressional Medal of Honor Society. The private luncheon honoring America's Medal of Honor recipients took place on Sunday, January 20, 2013, and will be attended by members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, senior enlisted advisors, and other special guests.

General Dempsey serves as the highest-ranking military officer in charge of the U.S. Armed Forces. The Medal of Honor is the highest award for valor in action against an enemy force which can be bestowed upon an individual serving in the Armed Services of the United States.

Said Mr. Kearns: "I appreciate General Dempsey's invitation to perform during this historic inauguration celebration - and it's an honor to perform for the Medal of Honor recipients who served with such courage and bravery. It's also been a pleasure working with Captain Curtis Kinzey, Director of the U.S. Army Chorus."

News about Kearns' appearance with the U.S. Army Chorus, the vocal counterpart of The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own," at the Pre-Inaugural Brunch was announced on The National Defense Radio Show today, January 18, 2013. The National Defense Radio Show is heard on 125 radio stations in the U.S., and over 400 stations in the American Forces Network. To listen, visit: www.thenationaldefense.com.

Mr. Kearns sang solo renditions of "Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears," and his new song, "O' America," as well as other selections with the U.S. Army Chorus. As one of the nation's only professional men's choruses, they frequently perform at many prestigious state functions, frequently at the White House, the U.S. Capitol, Supreme Court, and other venues.

Kearns previously performed, "O' America," with the U.S. Air Force Band during the Veterans Day Special, "America's Veterans: A Military Tribute," that aired on Maryland Public Television (PBS). The beautiful song resulted from a collaborative effort between Irish songwriter Brendan Graham and American William Joseph.

Mr. Kearns and The Irish Tenors have ten best-selling CDs, many of which have gone gold, platinum and double platinum. They also have five PBS Special, and are one of the top three highest-grossing acts for PBS. Kearns is a respected ambassador for Ireland, frequently lending his voice for many premier military ceremonies and benefits such as the USO, Stand Up for Heroes, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, ThanksUSA, and others. Mr. Kearns' appearance at the Medal of Honor Society Luncheon was arranged by Kirsten Fedewa & Associates, L.L.C.
