Originally scheduled for Saturday, November 3rd, Cantori's 2012-13 season opener FELIX UND CLARA, featuring Kathleen Chalfant, was postponed to tonight, November 11th at 7:30 p.m. The US premiere of Felix und Clara by Dutch composer Jacques Bank describes the troubled relationship of Clara Schumann and her son Felix -- the chorus sings the voice of Felix, and noted actor Kathleen Chalfant (Angels in America; Wit) takes the role of Clara. Cantori New York celebrates its 28th season featuring new and neglected works that deserve to be performed and heard. 3rd-prize winner of the 2012 American Prize in Choral Performance, and three time winner of the ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming, Cantori has built a strong reputation for artistic excellence and innovative programming. The concert will now take place tonight, November 11 at 7:30pm at the Church of St. Luke in the Fields, 487 Hudson Street, NYC. Tickets $25 (seniors $20; students / children $5).
