Lyman Brodie, trumpet player with the Orlando Philharmonic who has been a member since its inception, will serve as the conductor for the evening.

Star pianist Hélène Grimaud and violin virtuoso Simone Lamsma headline the Houston Symphony’s classical concerts in November, with guest conductors Matthias Pintscher and Fabien Gabel taking the Jones Hall podium for an exciting mix of such beloved repertory favorites as the Suite from Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty, alongside several newer works, including the Houston Symphony premiere of Unsuk Chin’s Graffiti, performed with film accompaniment by Houston-based filmmaker Alex Luster. 

Resonance Works’ ninth season combines virtual and in-person performances in line with the organization’s mission to enrich the Pittsburgh community through innovative musical experiences that engage audiences and empower artists. 

MPAC features a robust lineup of classic pop, contemporary and rock in October as it continues its return to full capacity events.

On Thursday, October 7th the State Theatre Center for the Arts will welcome Engelbert Humperdinck. In a career spanning over 50 years, Engelbert Humperdinck has generated sales in excess of 160 million records, including 64 gold albums and 34 platinum, four Grammy nominations, a Golden Glove, and stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Las Vegas Walk of Fame.

Opera Amici and Painted Sky Opera present a delightful romp in this new adaptation of an operatic fairy tale favorite - Hansel and Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck.  Designed with kids in mind and performed in English, this magical journey features the traditional story of Hansel and Gretel, a witch, and a gingerbread house in the forest.

Mayo Performing Arts Center is back and expecting to present events at full capacity this fall, as it announces its 21-22 season schedule. MPAC's season officially kicks off on Friday, September 17 with a performance by Broadway and cabaret favorite Linda Eder.

On Friday, May 28, Houston Grand Opera will release Hansel and Gretel on HGO Digital.

Kids and adults alike have been enjoying the sweet musical treat that is Opera Orlando’s ENCORE! presentation of Engelbert Humperdinck’s Hansel & Gretel so much that the Opera is extending it one more week.

In his first live theatre collaboration, photographer Roger Ballen will plumb the psychological depths of a familiar fairy tale, designing a unique visual world for Engelbert Humperdinck's opera, Hänsel und Gretel.

Opera Orlando’s MainStage series continues with the remount of Opera Orlando’s acclaimed production of Engelbert Humperdinck’s Hansel & Gretel. This scrumptious treat for the whole family, sung in English and reduced to a kid-friendly 75 minutes, will be presented in the round at Dr. Phillips Center in the Alexis and Jim Pugh Theater.

Opéra de Montréal is streaming Hansel & Gretel. Performances run December 17, 2020-January 17, 2021.
